The 3B´s Research Group – Biomaterials, Biodegradables & Biomimetics from the University of Minho, Portugal ( is organizing the 2nd GENE2SKIN Conference that will occur between the 23rd and the 24th of October, 2018, and will be themed Cutting-edge basic and translational research in skin-related diseases and disorders. This conference is being organized in the scope of the European Horizon 2020 Twinning project GENE2SKIN: Roadmap for advanced genetic engineering-based skin therapies and aims at promoting the interaction of highly skilled experts in this area, counting also with short presentations from young researchers. Furthermore, as the closing event of the project, the conference will encompass the presentation of the main outcomes of the project that will be discussed and evaluated in light of the initial expectations. The event will be held in the UNESCO-protected World Heritage city of Guimarães, Northern Portugal.
